Apply to be a member and get a key
We want to ensure we have accurate records of all members/dogs who use the run and confirm that all dogs have current vaccinations. According to the NY Times, “Astro’s may be one of the last, best bargains in New York”. To apply, we ask that all dog owners submit an updated application and proof of vaccinations from your vet.
How will I get the new key?
When we receive member applications, we will review the vaccination details and then coordinate with you to pass on a key.
What does the annual membership cost?
Given our current operating funds, we are suspending the fee to join. We encourage you to pay it forward and donate to your favorite dog charity in lieu of the membership fee.
Can I make copies of the key?
No, just like the key we have today, it will not be reproducible. To keep the dog run safe, we need an accurate record of the current members/dogs and that all dogs in the run are fully vaccinated.

What vaccinations/licenses are required for each dog?
As in the past, we require the following vaccinations be current for each dog:
Each dog will also require a current NYC Dog license.
Most Vets will provide a vaccination report of all the current vaccines your dog has had.
How can I get my vaccination information to you?
In the application form, you can upload documentation of your vaccinations or you can email us at astroscommunitydogrun@gmail.com. When using email, please state Dog’s name + vaccination in the subject..
